Oakland Flag Football League 

Ages 4 – 12

The Oakland Flag Football League provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. With a 5 v 5 format, there will be plenty of action for everyone.

Dates: 8 game season, September 20 - November 8, games start Sept. 27

Start Date: (Sept. 20)Our practice originally scheduled for Sept. 17, will be postponed, due to the extension of the registration deadline and the late Labor Day and school start. Therefore, we will hold a pre-season kick-off at 1pm – 2pm on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Pierce Elementary School. Mill “The Thrill” Coleman and his staff will be conducting the kick-off. Mill is a former Farmington Hills Harrison High School three time All-State Quarterback, All-American Quarterback and MVP recipient of two state championships. Mill still holds the Michigan high school state passing record for yardage (7,464 yards) and touchdown passes (77). Mill is a former Michigan State University captain, three year starter. After attending MSU Mill went on to play professionally with the Chicago Bears (2 years) and Montreal Allouttes (2 years) before a knee injury ended his career. Mill is currently the QB coach and Assistant Offensive Coordinator with 12 time state football champion Farmington Hills Harrison H.S. out of Farmington Hills, MI.

Tuesday, Sept. 22 Coaches Meeting

Wednesday, Sept. 23 Day your Coach will call or email you

Thursday, Sept. 24 First Team Practice (time TBD by coach)

Sunday, Sept. 27 First Game

Divisions: K & under (must be 4 on or before 6/1/09), 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade.

Practices: Thursdays for one hour between 4:30 and 7:30 or one hour prior to game time at Pierce Elementary School. Specific time & day will be determined by your coach. Teams will not be chosen until Sept. 22.

Games: On Sundays for one hour between 1 and 6pm. Located at Pierce Elementary School in Birmingham (North of 14 Mile Road, just east of Pierce.)

Cost: $139 ($144 Non-BPS District Resident) includes official NFL reversible team jersey (mouthguard required, cleats optional)

Registration Deadline: Sept. 21.

  3. Check off all boxes & initial (2 waivers and one that says you are over 13 years old) then click continue.
  4. Fill in the information and click continue and submit. You will receive an email confirmation right away.
  5. If you have not paid through Birmingham Community Education, please do so by calling (248-203-3800) to pay by credit card over the phone or to mail or drop off a check. If you do not do this, your registration will not be complete.
