Oakland Flag Football League

Spring 2009

(4 year olds - 8th grade)

With over 750 players participating in our league in the Fall, we are excited to begin our 7th season of league play this April. NFL FLAG is the premier youth football league that provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. With a co-ed, 5 v 5 format and a maximum of 10 players, there will be plenty of action for everyone. Because no-contact is allowed, size does not matter.

Dates: April 13 - June 7

Sessions: 7 practices, 7 games

Ages: 4 years (as of June 1, 2008) through 8th grade

Games: Saturdays or Sundays at Lahser H.S. Turf Fields (I am trying to coordinate with other recreational leagues, in particular baseball, lacrosse and soccer, in the area so the times will not conflict. If you have any suggestions of other leagues you participate in, let me know by email asap. Each division will have a set time frame of when games and practices will be to make it easier to coordinate your busy schedules.)

Practices: All Practices will be held one hour prior to game time at Lahser High School

Cost: $138 includes official NFL reversible team jersey (mouthguard required, cleats optional)

Registration: Online Registration will be available January 15, 2008

Registration Deadline: April 1st

Late Registration: April 2 -10 (A $15 late fee will be applied. Although registration will continue on a space available basis, specific team placement can not be guaranteed.)
