Competitive Youth Flag Football

(Players 6 to 14 years old as of Sept. 1)

Catch the flag fever! For the first time, we are offering you an opportunity to compete against teams from outside the county and possibly the state on a competitive flag football team. The HURRICANES program is for the skilled player who wants more practices, games and competition. The HURRICANES is only open to players who will also be participating in the Oakland Flag Football League. Practice days, times and location will be determined by the coach.

Fall 2008 Players

9-11 year old team

Registration - Players can be from any school or district.

There are 2 ways to register:

1. A coach may register a complete team of 8, 9 or 10 players. If a coach registers you as part of his/her team, you are not required to register individually or participate in tryouts.

2. You may register as an individual player and you must attend tryouts. Every player who tries out will not be guaranteed a spot on a team. Individuals must register for tryouts by sending an email to Hurricanes@CoachGenevieve.com with your players first and last name in the subject line.

Tryouts - Registered individual players must go to all tryouts if possible, and will be evaluated based on skill level, future potential, athletic ability, and coachability. Tryout dates will be available in April.

Cost - TBD Payment will not be required for individuals until after tryouts.

You are responsible for any additional fees including traveling expenses associated with any out of state tournaments or games (hotel, transportation). Participation in out of state play is not mandatory.
